Dr. Akshay Thakur brings a unique blend of clinical expertise and technical mastery to modern dentistry.
Before becoming a licensed dentist in Canada, Dr. Thakur built a strong foundation as a Dental Technician, working in the field for over two and a half years and owning his own dental laboratory. During this time, he designed and fabricated crowns, bridges, dentures, and restorative cases for other dentists experience that gives him an exceptional understanding of dental materials, aesthetics, and precision.
Dr. Thakur later continued his professional journey in Canada, completing his studies in Dental Technology Sciences at Vancouver Community College (VCC). He went on to successfully pass the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) examinations and obtained his dental licence in January 2024.
As a general dentist, Dr. Thakur is known for his attention to detail, thoughtful treatment planning, and patient-focused approach. His rare background as both a technician and a dentist allows him to see dentistry from both sides how restorations are created and how they function in the mouth resulting in treatments that are precise, durable, and natural-looking.
Dr. Thakur takes the time to listen carefully to his patients’ concerns and expectations, ensuring each treatment plan is tailored to their individual needs. His goal is to help patients regain confidence in their smiles while supporting long-term oral health.
